Bio

Daniela Poch founded the theatre group Eléctrico 28, which specialises in site-specific projects and creating theatrical adventures that question the use and misuse of public space.

Eléctrico 28 seeks to expand the horizons of playwriting, think on and about the streets and create a discourse that moves people to look harder. With their performances Entre tasses, Moments estel·lars de la humanitat, [The Frame] and Definicions ambulants, they have found their own language for a non-invasive yet lasting impact on public space that valorises daily life and looks at it from a place of emotion, creativity and imagination.

Daniela Poch is the author of Creaticity, (2013) and Urban Creativity Experience (2014) with Arcadi Poch. Artivism (Carpet Bombing Culture: England, 2018) is their most recent book, navigating through the curiosity, emotion and concern of the new artivists, who with shrewdness, inventiveness, imagination and sense of humour cross all the lines between art and activism.

Project

At Faberllull, Daniela Poch will be accompanied by Clàudia Mirambellto to develop the project Els Llocs, winner of the Hivernem 2024 programme. Els Llocs focuses on the practice of wandering aimlessly around a city, letting decisions, directions and movements be dictated by intuition and chance.

To do so, they propose to research and reflect on places and wandering around them. The members of Eléctrico 28 ask: “What is a place? Why do we conquer places? Can people and places love each other? How can we be part of a place?”

During the four-day residency, they will read authors such as Marc Augé and his ethnographies of places, including gardens, bistros and metros, among others. The goal is to understand which parameters can be used to understand a place in order to then transfer this to a physical experience. The wanderings of Perec and reflections of Rebecca Solnit will serve as inspiration.

The goal is to work with all these concepts to then put them into practice in a new performance project for the Catalan/Austrian company.
