His first self-produced short film, Los desheredados, premiered at the Semaine de la Critique at the Cannes Film Festival, where it won the award for Best Short Film. Screened at 80 other festivals, nominated for the European Film Awards and awarded as Best Short Film at the Goya Awards and the Gaudí Awards, among other distinctions. Released in cinemas all over Spain, it was the first time that a short film did so independently, that is to say, without being shown before a feature film or in a program of short films. His first feature film, The permanent image, is just now starting the distribution circuit, after having been presented in the Official Section of the Locarno Festival.

THE KING OF THE AIR. Pere works at El rei de l'aire, a family business dedicated to children's entertainment with inflatables, which looks like a Disneyland for the poor. Peter tries to have everything under control, even the air with which he inflates the rides. But one day he suffers a heart attack while a bouncy castle flies with a child inside. When his relatives try to make him sacrifice himself to save the company, Pere cannot bear the idea of not being outdoors and runs away.
