Project
I am starting a new stage in which I want to exchange and expand the knowledge I have about performance as a tool for change. I want to participate in performance festivals, hold workshops, attend courses and hold residencies in different countries around the world. At the moment I have agreed residences in Lisbon, Costa Rica and Catalonia, among others that are in the process. The Faberull residence offers me a space at the beginning of this whole journey, where I can organize all the notebooks full of ideas and drawings I have, to create a guide for the work to be done, create schemes and maps of references, contacts, festivals. .. And finally organize the study that I will do during this year and then hold workshops on movement, the body, the individual, the collective, fear, criticism....
A place where time stands still.
Our stay in Faberllull has given us the opportunity to escape our busy schedules and obligations. The Hotel Riu Fluvià is a small paradise surrounded by nature, silence and beauty that allows the imagination to flow. With a desk overlooking the countryside and mountains of Olot, paths and streams to nourish the spirit and a group of people with whom to share laughs and learn together.
I leave here brimming with emotions, ideas and experiences. I have been able to take part in two seminars and a workshop at the Escola d'Art d'Olot; I have danced and created installations in the heart of nature in the Fageda d'en Jordà; and I have been able to make great progress in the study I am carrying out on improvisation as a tool for creation and self-improvement. Finally, this stay has also provided me with a space to organise aspects of the residencies and festivals that await me over the course of this coming year.
Thank you, Pepa, for making us feel so at home and for opening the doors to this experience.
