Bio
Quim was born in Castellserà (Lleida). He is passionate about telling stories through drawing. He studied a postgraduate degree in illustration at the Eina school. His work as an illustrator has been published in different national and international publishing houses.
He currently combines editorial illustration with the creation of workshops in which he uses drawing as a tool for self-knowledge. In 2022 he was a finalist in the World Illustration Awards and won the Hiii Brand Award for Constel-lacions, a work written and illustrated by him.
Project
During my stay in Olot I will illustrate an album for the publishing house Hélium éditions, with a text by Julien Baer.
"Although I am writing this a few weeks after my stay in Olot ended, the memories are still very present. In fact, I am still in contact with a few of the other participants and am still working on the project I started at Faberllull. All the notes and sketches I made during my time there have proven to be incredibly useful.
I had my reservations about working in a hotel room and was reluctant to let go of my idea of what an artistic residency should be. But I could not have been more mistaken. My companions, the surrounding area, the meals, Emilio and Pepa’s kindness and indeed that of the whole Faber team all came together to prove me wrong.
