Bio

She protected a dissertation on the specialty of Decorative and Applied Arts and a received Graduate Degree in Art Studies on April 9, 2008. She has a diploma candidate's in science (equivalent to Doctor of Philosophy) from the National Academy of Arts in Lviv. The city of Lviv. Ukraine. Postgraduate studies at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (2004 - 2007). Ciutat de Kiev. Ukraine. Education - Rivne Humanities University, specialization "Plastics, artistic decoration and application", Artistic ceramics. (1996 - 2002). Ciutat de Rivne. Ukraine. She is the author of 40 publications in periodicals and collections. She is coautor de "History of Decorative Art of Ukraine" in 5 volumes. Halyna Istomina "L'art de la ceramica ethnic de la miet de Volyn II. Segles XIX - XX. " (2009). monograph. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine since 2013.

Project

The content of my research for your residency will be as follows:
ARTISTIC AND STYLISTIC PARALLELS IN ARCHITECTURAL AND DECORATIVE MAJOLICA CATALUNIA AND UKRAINE XX – BEGINNING OF XXI CENTURY. The research is presented on 41 pages and will be published in Ukraine.
Artistic and stylistic features of Western Ukrainian majolica of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. close to finds of Catalan majolica of the 18th century. on the territory of the Memorial Cultural Center "Born" (in Barcelona) and some specimens of the 19th century, which are kept in the Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of this city. Research on Catalan ceramics was also carried out in the city of Bisbal, a well-known pottery center in Catalunia. The involved materials are also from the local history museum Calella. And also an overview of the work of potters in the Sant Iscle de Vallalta (province Barcelona). The results of the research will be partially made publcat the International scientific conference "Traditions and challenges of Ukrainian studies in the modern world (at Warsaw Univesity) wich will be held on June 15-16, 2023 in Warsaw Poland.
