Bio

She is preparing her doctoral thesis on female dramaturgy and motherhood at the Instituto de Investigaciones Feministas, UCM.

Graduated in Stage Direction and Dramaturgy at the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático de Madrid.

Degree in Art History from the Complutense University of Madrid.

Co-founder of her first theater company. Yo/la Peor de todas and Producciones Sra_Rojo with which she was a finalist in the Max Awards 2022 for her show En tránsito.

As an author she has premiered in Spain, Argentina, Greece, USA and UK both in public and off circuit theaters.

Her texts have been translated and published in Spanish, English, Greek and Galician with Ediciones Antígona, Éride, Sgae, among others.

Some of his plays are regularly performed, such as El techo de cristal, Derrumbe or Comida para cerdos.

He teaches literary creation, dramaturgy and gender studies in Universities such as ESAD and TAI, and in private centers.

Project

In the residency I will work on the text Yo no soy Ana Orantes that explores the evolution of violence against women in the last twenty-five years from the murder of Ana Orantes at the hands of her husband in 1997, and the public revulsive that her testimony meant for this country in a program of Canal Sur where she publicly denounced four decades of mistreatment. After an intense process of documentation and interviews with people related to Ana, with other women victims and with the elaboration of the Law of 2004, I will write this text that asks us if we have changed regarding violence during this time.

The play will be premiered in Melilla during July 2023 by the production company La Vidriera teatro.
