Born in Damascus in 1990, Mohamad Bitari graduated on Hispanic Philology by the University of Damascus and Semitic Languages by Universitat de Barcelona.

As an editor, he has coordinated the poetry anthology "Jo soc vosaltres. Sis poetes de Síria", published by Godall Edicions, Pol·len Edicions and So de Pau, and the edition of the book "Palestina. Arte y resistencia en Nayi Al-Ali", published by Ediciones del Oriente y del Mediterráneo.

As a playwright, he has worked in the projects "Habibti Rja'I Al-Tajet", by Greg Kalleres (2012), and "The dictator", by Issam Mahfouz (2013), both staged in Babel Theatre in Beirut. He has also participated in the co-creation of the plays "Sous la plage" (2016), along with Marc Villanueva Mir and staged at Sala Beckett, Grec Festival and Frankfurter Lab 2016-2017; and "Síndrome de Gel", along with Clàudia Cedó and staged in Teatre Lliure de Gràcia in 2022.

I, as editor from Èter Editions, have developed, along with PEN Català, Institut Ramon Llull and Faberllull, the Young Catalan and Palestinian Dramaturgy Residency 2023. Therefore, my role will be to coordinate the stay of the different members, to accompany the Palestinian writers, being part of the jury and translating and publishing the projects in Catalan and Arabic.
