Project

Our current project, IDIL·LI proposes a historical revision of the feeling of nostalgia for nature, taking a critical look at the present situation of global change. The project draws on the historical relationship between human beings and the plant kingdom, tracing the origins of romanticized and nostalgic depictions of nature and speculating with alternative forms of relation.

Part of the research and writing that we plan to develop during our residence at Faberllull will include: reviewing the data collected in collaboration with CREAF (a public research centre dedicated to terrestrial ecology and global change); undertaking an active observation of the role of vegetable species in the public space; and writing and designing artistic interventions for public space; among others.
