Bio

Montserrat González Parera has a degree in Psychology (UAB) and in Directing and Dramaturgy (Institut del Teatre) and a doctorate in Pedagogy (UB). She has a long career as a researcher and trainer at the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Open University of Catalonia (UOC). She was professor at Harvard University researching applied arts. She is currently a professor at the Institut del Teatre de Barcelona and deputy director of the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático (ESAD). She has given conferences and workshops in Spain, USA, France, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica and Algeria. She is co-founder of the Baraka Teatro Company (Madrid, 2005) and director of the La Trup theater company. Research lines: Theater pedagogy, Theater and education, Creativity, Social skills.

Project

My study has its origin in the current problematic situation in education related to the beginning of schooling: the fragmentation of knowledge, the motivation of the students, the material values over the human and social ones, the accumulation of information, the lack of collaboration and the uncooperative attitudes.
