Bio

Julia Ponce Díaz is an Andalusian writer/director based in Los Angeles, California. She just graduated from the American Film Institute thanks to the funding and support of the La Caixa Foundation. Julia was born and raised in a town with six churches and no movie theater, but somehow found herself closer to film than to god. She believes that much of our identity doesn’t happen in the reflection of the mirror but in the gaze of others, and her goal is to explore the subjective experiences of female characters in search of their identity and place in the world.

Project

During my stay at Faber, I will be teaching a masterclass titled "¿Cómo podemos producir y seguir soñando?" I will also be meeting the residents and talking to them one-on-one about their specific project.
