Bio

Ph.D. in Communication from the UPF. He was part of the directing team of Estiu 1993 and, together with Carla Simón, wrote Alcarràs (winner of the 2022 Berlin Golden Bear). As a director, he made the experimental short film L’amic de Kenneth Halliwell (2022), which would be the seed of his opera prima which is currently under development. Author of the book La caricia del cine (2017), he has obtained research grants in film aesthetics at the Sorbonne University in Paris and the UNAM in Mexico. He has worked as a programmer, film critic and lecturer at the universities UAB, ESCAC, UOC, UPF and VIU.

Project

I will work on my project titled Els homes i els dies. After five years in London preparing a thesis on the origins of queer, theory, David decides to end a toxic relationship and return to a Barcelona that is caught between the euphoria of the Olympics and the fear of AIDS. There, he starts writing a diary to get over his ex and start creating a new David.
