Project
During my stay at Faberllull Olot, I will coordinate a workshop about insular poetry from Tierra del Fuego. The island has two singular triangles of women poets which gather one of the last selk'nam and shaman Lola Kiepja, the doctor Nelly Iris Penazzo, the journalist and writer Leonor María Piñero, and the contemporaneous Niní Bernardello, Anahí Lazzaroni, and Florencia Lobo. Also, I will share a reading of texts written by other women poets from Patagonia like Lola Halfon, Romina Olivero, Liliana Ancalao, and Lucía Vargas. The core question is what happens with the physical territory where the poetry emerges? What do we say when we say “poesía de la Patagonia”, “poesía insular”?
