Bio
Doctor in Geology from the University of Barcelona, volcanologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Geophysics and Planetology at the University of Hawaii (USA). His research areas are volcanic activity and the resulting risks in the population. Specialist in physical volcanology, geothermal exploration and applied geophysics in volcanic terrains. He is currently involved in several international research projects on physical volcanology in Spain, Mexico and the United States, geothermal exploration in Hawaii and Latin America, paleoclimate in volcanic lakes in Catalonia and Vietnam and also on Antarctic volcanism. Thanks to these collaborations, he has published 25 international studies. He was also the organizer of the 7th International Maar Conference, in May 2018 in Olot, with more than 120 participants from 25 countries. In addition, he has produced information materials on volcanoes for indigenous communities living in volcanic regions, such as the documentary “Parícutin. Al Otro Lado” under his co-direction and production.
Project
During my stay, I will participate in the tenth international volcanology course, take part in the roundtable discussions during the volcanism sessions and build partnerships with the researchers invited by Faberllull.
