Bio
With a degree in Philosophy (UAB) in 1987 and in Translation and Interpreting (UPF) in 1998, she has been translating literary works written in German for more than two decades. She has translated into Catalan novels by Elfriede Jelinek, Daniel Kehlmann and Ilija Trojanow, as well as works of juvenile literature (Cornelia Funke) and non-fiction (Peter Wohlleben). She has translated into Spanish works by Franz Kafka, Wolfgang Koeppen, Friedrich Torberg and Friedrich Christian Delius, among others. She has also translated crime novels (Ingrid Noll and Jean Luc Bannalec) and some bestsellers (David Safier).
Project
During my stay at the FaberLlull residence in Olot I will take part in the ViceVersa Workshop on translation from German into Catalan, in which I will present a fragment of a novel by F.C. Delius entitled Wenn die Chinesen Rügen kaufen, dann denkt an mich.
