Bio

Frank Henseleit is translator, editor and publisher of Kupido Literaturverlag (KLV). He translates from Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan a.o. Manuel Chaves Nogales, Jorge Luis Borges, Ángel Crespo, Fernando Pessoa, Mário de Sá-Carneiro and Joan Brossa. One line of KLV's publications are following the conception of "Iberisches Panorama" (Iberic Panorama). In this context KLV publishes the Journalistic Works, Stories and Novels of Manuel Chaves Nogales, the Prose, Poetic and Epistolary Work of Mário de Sá-Carneiro, autores como Blai Bonet (El Mar) José Carlos Lllop (El informe Stein), Gonçalo M. Tavares (Na América, disse Jonatan), Víctor Català (Un Film). Apart from this line KLV publishes among other lines travelogues, for example the travelogues of the ukrainian documentarist Sophia Yablonska.

Project

It is about the cooperative work of ten translators on their translation from and into the catalan language. A so called viceversa coception.
My part will be the work in progress for the translation of Josep Pla's novel "La vida de Manolo - told by himself".
