JORDI BOQUET CLARAMUNT
From Monday, 16 May 2022 to Friday, 27 May 2022

Bio
Jordi Boquet Claramunt (Cervera, 1994) began his audiovisual studies at the EMAV, later moving to the ESCAC, where he graduated in 2018 as a film director. "Ni oblit, ni perdó" (2019), his first short film, won numerous awards at national and international festivals, such as the Gaudí Award from the Catalan Film Academy for best short film, the first prize at the Huesca Film Festival or the audience award at the D'A Festival in Barcelona. On the other hand, he has worked as a script supervisor in films such as "La mort de Guillem" (Carlos Marqués-Marcet, 2019) or "Suro" (Mikel Gurrea, in post-production). In parallel, he works as a teacher for ESCAC and El Plató de Cinema. He is currently developing "Riure", his first feature film, while he is finishing the post-production of his next short film, "El Tren de l'Alegria".
Project
Against nature, against culture and against the system, a family of clowns resists day after day, to keep doing what gives meaning to their lives: to make people laugh. This is the starting point of our film, a story that tries to reflect our purest reality. A family, a circus, an art and a particular way of living and looking at our world that fascinates me and I admire at the same time. I hope that this stay at Faberllull can help us get away from our complex reality and enter our world of fiction, and live in it for some days, something that might help me make this project very magical.
