Bio
Tomàs Bayo Encontra (Lleida, 1996) graduated in screenwriting at ESCAC in 2018. His first works as a screenwriter have been selected in several film festivals and have won several awards. Among them, the short films "Ni oblit, ni perdó" (2019) won the Gaudí Award for Best Short Film, as well as the First Prize at the Huesca Film Festival; and "Solsticio de verano" (2018) won the award for Best Spanish Short Film at the SEMINCI in 2019, among others. He has worked as a creative storyteller for the production company BTF and Infinito Films. At this moment, he works as a scriptwriter and script analyst. He also teaches acting at L'Autèntica school in Barcelona and gives film lessons to teenagers in Barcelona and Lleida. He is currently developing three feature films with their respective directors and a television series.
Project
During my stay at Faberllull, I will be developing two feature length movie projects that I have been working on for some months. One of them, "Catorce de marzo", written alongside director Alberto Gross Molo, is a story about two siblings who face a complicated decision. The other, "Riure", with director Jordi Boquet Claramunt, is a film about a family who works in a circus. I envision this experience as a good opportunity to keep working in both scripts, and to find the time and space to peacefully think, write and create.
