Project

Participant in the project "The Purple Meridians", an international meeting with 16 female filmmakers from different countries (Catalonia, Kurdistan, Italy, Greece), to discuss the difficulties faced by professionals with a female identity and non-binary people in the film and audiovisual industry, to break down the borders they have encountered and to make proposals for improvement, creating a network of support and exchange for future collaborations on an axis that crosses that crosses whole of Europe, from its eastern to its western border.

We were very well received and welcomed by Pepa and Gavina from the Faberllull management team, who explained the operation and spaces.

The facilities are impressive. The rooms are comfortable and wide, and with a small terrace that we were very grateful for in the evenings.

The work room was spacious and air-conditioned, and very well equipped. It allowed us to work together as well as to form different groups. The garden and the swimming pool were a plus that we did not expect, and it really came in handy, since the days of the residence coincided with the heat wave.

Both lunch and dinner, were very generous with quality local products and the dining room staff, were very attentive and friendly.

We also appreciated the activities that Faberllull had organized such as the meeting with the feminist collective and the screenings at the Truffaut-El Moderno Cinemas in Girona.

The experience of The Purple Meridians Residence at Faberllull was very rewarding and productive as a whole.
