Project
During my stay at the residence, I'm going to work on my translation of "Un arbre molt alt" (LV Ausias March Poetry Prize winner), a poetry book by catalan writer Jaume Coll Mariné, one of the most brilliant voices in catalan contemporary literature. I'm interested in translating it into galician due to the multiple ways the poems build brigdes between our two literary traditions: medieval Galician-Portuguese cantigas, an attentive eye on nature, and a very physical sonority (reminding of Uxío Novoneyra's work), all are integral aspects to it. The poems provide a worldly and spiritual contemplation both at the same time, making use of emotional and serene intelligence.
