Natàlia Boadas i Prats is a screenwriter and graduate in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University. She’s one of the creators and screenwriters of the TV3 and Netflix series Les de l’hoquei. The series won the CIMA prize for equality at the FesTVal in Vitoria 2019. She has also written, together with Ona Anglada, Laura Azemar and Marta Vivet, the book: Les de l’hoquei: l’estiu que ens va fer créixer (Penguin Random House, 2020). Currently, she’s a board member of GAC (Associated Screenwriters of Catalonia) and continues to develop audiovisual projects with a gender and diversity perspective.

Que torni l’estiu is a film about two teenage girls who meet in the Costa Brava village where they used to spend their summer holidays after a strong storm devastates the coast. The reconstruction of the village will mirror their friendship, broken since that summer when their childhood best friend died. We are interested in topics such as female friendship, mourning, guilt and climate change from the perspective of a generation that, despite growing up amidst economic, health and climate crises, does not stop pursuing the hope for a better world.
