VINCENT DELECROIX
Mathematician and computer scientist
France

Bio

Vincent Delecroix (1984) is a French mathematician and computer scientist. He works in Bordeaux (France) since 2013 in the computer science lab. His main interest is dynamical systems, that is the study of systems under evolution. This wide topic ranges from the behavior of a computer program up to the future of our solar system. He started working with SageMath and open source mathematical software around 2008 at the beginning of his PhD thesis about mathematical billiards.

Project

Many scientific open source softwares are dedicated to very specific tasks. A today’s challenge in computational mathematics is to make them cooperate. During his stay at FABER, Vincent wants to improve the communication possibilities between several open source projects related to polytopes (Polymake, Sage, ppl, Python, flint, CGAL, …).
