Early childhood specialist
México City (México)

Bio

Roxanna Pastor is a university professor at the Graduate School of Psychology in the Mexican National Autonomous University (UNAM). For the past thirty years side by side with her graduate students she has learned from children, families and early childhood teachers in community settings.

For the past seven years she has designed and directed an international project that seeks to facilitate the emotional well-being of children, adolescent and adult women and men through “wisdom” storybooks that show us resilient ways of approaching our emotional conflicts.

Since 2015 she is in Spain doing research on a teacher’ s approach with children (birth to 3) and families. This case study is being carried out in a public early childhood school in Pamplona that follows the Reggio Emilia’ s educational philosophy.

Project

I will spend my time at Faber writing about my experience as a researcher in an early childhood classroom. Focusing on the relationship I developed with the teacher and how our on going reflective process, led me to question some of my ideas about education and my role as a professor of early childhood professionals.
