Project
The women’s prison of Reina Amàlia (1839-1936), located in the Raval (Barcelona), has been forgotten by the Administration and history. Two years ago SomAtents started a research project to visibilize its memory and that of so many women who lived there, with an exhibition and training workshops for neighborhood collectives, as well as writing a book. The next phase will be the creation of a documentary with new testimonials, a task that involves new sources search strategies, as well as writing a script and filming planning.
