Bio

Graduated in Journalism and specialized in photojournalism, she currently combines the publication of reports, as a freelance journalist, with teaching. She has worked in media such as El Periódico and Europa Press, and currently collaborates with Ara newspaper, Jornada, Diario.es and Píkara. Within SomAtents she works as a photographer and gives workshops, courses and talks. She is working on social and gender-oriented photography and journalism projects, and has previously exhibited at festivals such as Revela-T, Igualada FineArt, Fòrum Fotogràfic de Can Basté and BCN Visiones gallery.

Project

With a visual tour of the work of classic and contemporary photographers and group discussions, together with Estefania Bedmar, we propose to reflect on the important role of women photographers. Often invisible, women are an essential agent in the history of photography and we want to awaken interest in the legacy we are leaving behind, which has often been denied us. The talk includes the viewing of photographic works, debate on the current state of the sector and a review of the history of women in this profession.
