From Friday, 26 April 2019 to Sunday, 28 April 2019

NÚRIA BATLLEM
Archivist

Bio

Director of the Pla de l’Estany Regional Archive, in Banyoles, since 2007, in the Regional Archives Network of the Government of Catalonia.

She has a degree in archival and records management (College of Archival and Records Management, Autonomous University of Barcelona) and in History (University of Girona).

From a labor point of view, she has a long experience as a manager of a public archive, the Pla de l’Estany regional, where she has developed her vocation of duty to the public and to the public administration. Likewise, during her youth, she has worked as a cultural and educational guide in different sites and monuments, such as Sant Pere de Rodes.

Finally, it’s worth noting her volunteer work. Since 2013, she’s part of the board of directors of the Association of Archivists – Records Managers of Catalonia, an entity that represents the interests of professionals dedicated to the management of information, data and records.

Project

The stay at the Faber residence will allow me to debate, reconsider and define, what are the new professional profiles that are dedicated to the management of records, data and information. It is highly relevant to have well-defined what these professionals are in order to be able to establish work relationships, scientific research, the exchange of experiences and the improvement of the work that we all carry out. This work will be taken into account by the Association of Archivists – Records Managers in order to build communication bridges among all the professionals involved in the management of records, data and information.
