Bio
Nina Coll is working at Citilab, a citizen lab in Cornellà de Llobregat. She’s a Primary school teacher and she has a Master degree in ICT at education. Currently, she participates at Edulab project, that consist to introduce robotics and programming language as a learning tool for curricular contents in the city schools.
She also trains teachers and design activities looking for new and motivating methods of learning. She was introduced to programming language at adult, but she would like to learn these competences before. For this reason, she wants to increase the number of children to the programming and robotics projects, as a new way of thinking, and being able to resolve problems, specially focused promoting the steam vocations between girls.
Project
My stay at Faber will give me the opportunity to meet microBlocks developers and other professionals allowing me to continue working in the design of activities.
Taking advantage of the Faber meeting, I will take the opportunity to develop and test new activities for the new model of Citilab’s robot. This robot is programmed with microBlocks, a new visual coding language and it is created using 3d printing technologies.
I hope this different tests of use with Faber community will allow us to improve the innovation in teaching and learning processes.
