Bio
Sonia’s texts have been translated in several European languages and have been presented in Italy and abroad. Since 1996 she has been teaching playwriting and acting in public and private institutions. In 2006 she founded the Company MALTE and has since served as its artistic director. With MALTE, she has produced and organised performances, projects, artistic and cultural events. In 2018 she has been awarded with the Premio Internacional La Escritura de la/s Diferencia/s en Cuba. Her winning play has been staged in La Habana by Irene Borges in 2019. In the same year she dramatised the essay Teoria della classe disagiata by Raffaele Alberto Ventura. Sonia’s last work is Naufragium, that will be performed in autumn 2020 by Silvia Gallerano and under the direction of Daria Lippi at Teatro Fabbricone in Prato. Her theatrical work has been recognised by various awards in playwriting and theatre, both at national and international level.
