MYRIAM GRAU REU
From Monday, 9 November 2026 to Monday, 16 November 2026
Bio
Myriam Grau Rey (Canillo, Andorra, 1998) is a visual artist who focuses her practice on contemporary painting as a tool for investigating landscape, memory and the relationship between humans and the land. A graduate in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, she develops a pictorial language posited on the superimposition of layers, materiality and gesture, combining abstraction with figurative references.
Her work is characterised by the use of a palette dominated by ultramarine blues, carmine reds, whites and ochres, which create atmospheres of contemplation and tension. She has taken part in exhibitions and artist residencies in Andorra, Catalonia, the Balearic Islands and Peru. Myriam is currently researching the contemporary landscape as a space traversed by social transformations, disconnection and the way we inhabit the world.
Project
During her residency at Faberllull, she will develop Offline, a pictorial series exploring what it truly means to disconnect in a society driven by constant productivity. Through painting, Myriam will explore the landscape as a space for contemplation, memory and reflection, drawing inspiration from the works of Josep Maria Esquirol and Manuel Delgado.
The residency will allow her to deepen both the conceptual research of the project and her technical experimentation with acrylic, oil sticks and egg tempera, combining contemporary processes with knowledge from heritage conservation and restoration.
