Bio

Gisela Bombilà, born in Mollet del Vallès in 1982, is an illustrator and comic book author. She works in naturalistic and fantasy illustration, both subjects she is passionate about. Her work revolves around folklore, the rural past, cultural traditions and pagan rites, always from a feminist perspective, as can be seen in her first graphic novel, entitled Roi.

Project

At Faberllull, Gisela will develop an illustrated album project for children with the Brazilian publishers Aletria.

The project caught her eye because it involves a legend of the Guarani tribe, with very powerful female characters and mythological figures from a distant country as interesting and evocative as Brazil, with its wild and mysterious rainforest that is the main setting of the story.
