ANNA BAQUERO FONT
From Monday, 9 November 2026 to Friday, 20 November 2026
Bio
Anna Baquero (Barcelona, 1993) works from home in a small room with good views of the city. She has been drawing since she could hold a pencil and considers it the best job in the world.
Anna has worked on illustrated albums and novels for children aged 3 to 12 years for national and international publishers. She is also a writer who has published short stories in the magazine El Tatano and released her first novel, (Moi’s Big Adventure) in 2025.
She works digitally, seeking a fresh style that is simple and fun, and tries to inject a little humour into her drawings whenever she can. What she most likes to draw are animals in clothes — it's an obsession!
Project
At Faberllull, Anna Baquero will work on the illustrations of the book Lumi lite, to be published by Swedish publishing firm Natur & Kultur.
Lumi lite is an illustrated album for early readers that explains how young Lumi takes to the arrival of two baby brothers at home. The book explores the extraordinary experience of newborn twins and how at times it can be tough sharing your mother’s attention. The original text is in Swedish and tells the story through the tenderness, humour and musicality of rhyming text.
