Bio
Ares Llop Naya holds a PhD in linguistics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. She is currently a lecturer at the Open University of Catalonia. She has been a lecturer and researcher at Cardiff University, the University of Barcelona and the University of Cambridge. She was a Batista i Roca Fellow al Fitzwilliam College at Cambridge. She has been a visiting researcher at the University of Montreal. She is an author and editor of textbooks for teaching Catalan (including the collection A punt. Curs de català (Catalan course), Publicacions de l’Abadia de Montserrat). Her current areas of research focus on the acquisition of grammar in learners of Catalan as an additional language. She has a special interest in creating bridges of dialogue and collaboration between language acquisition research and classroom practice and the creation of textbooks and teaching materials.
