Bio

Sophie McBride is an Assistant Professor at the Universitat Politècnica de València, specializing in Applied Linguistics. She holds a PhD focused on how learners process written corrective feedback in both digital and pen-and-paper contexts. Her research interests include second language acquisition, L2 writing, and written corrective feedback, particularly how learners engage with and benefit from feedback. She has presented her work at international conferences and contributed to recent publications, including a volume on research methods and a special issue of Studies in Second Language Acquisition. She is currently exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on writing processes and written corrective feedback in second language learning.
