Bio
Llorenç Comajoan-Colomé holds a PhD in Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition from Indiana University, Bloomington (United States). He is a professor at the Department of Catalan Philology and General Linguistics at the University of Barcelona. He is a researcher at the Sociolinguistics and Communication Research Centre (CUSC) of the UB and the Variation Study research group at the same institution. He coordinates the postgraduate course in Teaching Catalan for Adults (UVic-UCC, UB and UAB) and is vice-president of the Society for Teaching and Researching Catalan as a Foreign Language (SERCLE). His research areas are educational sociolinguistics, language teaching and the acquisition of additional languages.
