Bio

Karen Forbes is an Associate Professor in Second Language Education at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge (UK) where she is part of the Multilingualism and Language Education (MuLtiE) research group. She previously taught modern languages in secondary schools in England and has a particular interest in strengthening connections between educational research and real-world practice. Her current research interests include language learning strategies, multilingualism and identity, and school language policies. Karen teaches and supervises at Masters and Doctoral level on a range of topics related to language education.
