Collective residencies / Creation and context: live arts within a landscape / Olot
IRENE VICENTE SALAS
From Monday, 9 March 2026 to Sunday, 15 March 2026
Bio
Irene Vicente Salas is a performing artist and playwright. She develops a language that blends living arts, art history and installation devices. After stage pieces like Autònoma(Antic teatre), Unheimlich(TNT) and Ellas comen (La Casona, Chile), her work has evolved towards formats where the viewer resorts and inhabits the proposal. CORPUS (2023 Grec Festival) proposes the entry of theatre into the museum through performance installations distributed throughout the rooms, while OASI (2025 Grec Festival and Centre for Free Arts) delves into this line as a performance installation that activates the relationship between space, light, sound, body and voice. Irene Vicente was a resident of the Nau Ivanow theatre from 2019 to 2023. She has also worked as a playwright with Àlex Rigola, La Súbita, José y sus Hermanas and Animal Religion, and collaborates with La Conquesta del Pol Sud, where she carries out dramaturgy, production and artistic support tasks.
Project
At Faberllull, she will develop the Olot adaptation of the OASI installation, premiered during the 2025 Grec Festival. OASI can be visited during the day and, at specific times, is activated with the intervention of a text and a dancer. During this week, the text will be adapted to the Olot area. The text is a narrative about the journey each of us can take in search of rest and calm. In this case, the natural environment of Olot offers this possibility and ease. Writing based on walks, documentation and contemplation will be the main tasks of this week of residency.
