Bio

A trained editor, puppeteer, and street performer, Sophia Antoine works with images on a daily basis. A long-time collaborator with Compagnie d'IElles, she participates in and leads all of its creations. Within the company L'île de La Tortue, she leads various projects in collaboration with Sarah Mathon, notably those aimed at women in disadvantaged neighborhoods and young people in Clichy-Sous-Bois (93). Co-founder of the collective Les Tenaces and spokesperson for the FEMEN movement, she is committed to fighting discrimination and sexism in live performance. She launched the #MeTooInceste movement on social media in January 2021

Project

At Faberllull Olot, Sophia Antoine will explore the threads of a marriage and co-write a carte blanche to perform In Situ during the Sismograf festival.
