From Monday, 21 September 2026 to Monday, 28 September 2026
Bio
Fabienne Crastes (Corsica) has a PhD in Romance languages and literature from the University of Perpignan and is a full professor at the University of Corsica, at the INSPE (Italy's National Higher Institute of Teachers and Education). For the past three years, she has been an IA-IPR (Academic Inspector-Pedagogical Inspector) of Spanish for the academic region of Corsica.
She is a member of the university's LISA laboratory (Places, Identities, eSpaces and Activities), of the CRAE performing arts research centre at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and of the RIITLE.
Her research focuses on contemporary Catalan theatre as an alternative space for reflecting on the construction of identity, the relationship with others and the various forms of power exercised in our societies. Fabienne Crastes is interested in the themes of cultural confrontation, the integration of voices from the margins and female theatre figures in the Mediterranean area. She investigates the notion of border in both the spatial/metaphorical and linguistic dimensions with translation projects.
