Bio

Originally from Seville and born in 1993, Alexander L. Arias moved to Barcelona after receiving an ESCAC scholarship, where he graduated with a specialization in screenwriting.

His first short film, ANI, was well received at various festivals, notably FIBACC. His first foray into animation screenwriting was Kapitan, a stop-motion short directed by Andrei Simkin, which enjoyed an extensive festival run, including selections at Animation Dingle (Ireland) and the Málaga Film Festival (2023).

That same year, the short film Lo nuestro, al otro lado was selected for the Record Film Campus of the Córdoba Filmmakers Association. Other notable projects include Pell Cremada, a feature film selected for the L’Alternativa Fest pitch (2024), and the series Una benvinguda de Mort, currently in development with support from a GAC development grant. He is also developing the feature film En los límites (2025), selected for the Alicante Film Festival and awarded the Movibeta Prize.

Alongside his work as a screenwriter, he teaches at various film schools and works in academic management at UNIR.

Project

At Faberllull, he will work on writing the script for the series Bandada Rebel, written toghether with Andrei Simkin.
