Bio
Pau Bacardit graduated in Film Editing at ESCAC and has worked as an editor, director, and producer on various documentaries produced by Televisió de Catalunya (Fontcuberta, el que queda de la fotografia, La Gemma té un pla), Mediapro (El nou clam), Filmin (Drácula Barcelona), and Producciones del Barrio (Publio, el secuestro sin fin).
His short films as a director have accumulated more than 160 festival selections and over 25 awards. His most recent work as a screenwriter is the series ROMI for Prime Video.
He is currently developing two series: Invertits (winner of two GAC and ICEC writing grants) and No som guerreres, selected for the Serielizados Kick 2025 lab.
Project
At Faberllull, he will work on writing the script for the series No som guerreres, written toghether with Anna Bacardit.
I would like to thank you for allowing me to be part of the Faberllull Writing Residency. Our work is usually very solitary and being able to share this week with other screenwriters in such a special setting allowed us not only to concentrate on developing our projects but also to connect with other people and share ideas, doubts and hopes. It was a very special time for us. From the first we felt welcomed, with great care taken on your part and meticulous attention that made our stay not only comfortable but truly inspiring.
It was also a very exciting experience to visit Bosc de la Coma high school in Olot and share the process of creating our series and the way to portray a real-life situation as fiction. Hopefully, the kids who took part in the talk will find it useful to develop their ideas and — who knows — perhaps dedicate themselves to writing.
After the week of enjoying this grant, all I can say is that I would have loved to have stayed longer and that I hope to be able to repeat the experience with another project in the future.
