Bio
Film enthusiast, promoter, programmer and researcher. Born in Buenos Aires in 1986, he specialised in the Curation and Development of Cinematic and Audiovisual Projects at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola (Spain) and in Comprehensive Film and Television Direction at the Cinematographic Research Center (Argentina). Since 2007 he has worked in the audiovisual field as a programmer, tutor and lab coordinator at festivals and institutions such as the Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI), the Festival de Mar del Plata, the Recoleta Cultural Center, the Biennale d'Art Jove de Buenos Aires, the DocLisboa International Film Festival, the Márgenes Madrid International Film Festival and the Bilbao International Festival of Documentary and Short Films (ZINEBI).
Between 2014 and 2023 he was coordinator of Audiovisual Arts at the Biennale d'Art Jove, supporting more than a hundred filmmakers in the development and circulation of their first films, and between 2015 and 2024 he programmed the audiovisual area of the Recoleta Cultural Center. He also helped organise the Buenos Aires Film Commission and the BAFICI Professional Area, as well as in selection committees and international tutorships. He has taught classes, workshops and seminars in venues such as the University of Cinema of Buenos Aires, Tabakalera (San Sebastián), Talent Campus Buenos Aires, Altres Nord (Peru) and Frontera Sud (Chile).
In 2021 he created the homeagain.tv platform, dedicated to freely accessible films on the web, published his first book, La casa de los anfíbios (The House of Amphibians) (Argentina/Spain) and in 2025 co-founded Kosinki, a film club with Micaela Álvarez that promotes courses, residencies, workshops and screenings with a view
Project
Maui Alena will be one of the mentors for the 2025-2026 screenwriting residency. He will offer master classes and individual tutorials to resident screenwriters.
