Bio
David Moragas is a screenwriter, director and writer. He graduated in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University and completed a master's in Film Directing at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts thanks to a "La Caixa" scholarship. He currently combines directing and writing with teaching at university level.
His first feature film, A Stormy Night (2020), premièred as the closing film of the D'A Film Festival and has been screened at festivals such as Málaga and L'Alternativa. It was nominated for Best Editing at the Gaudí Awards and won the award for Best Screenplay at LesGaiCineMad. The short film Demà ho deixem (Tomorrow Then, 2022) was presented at festivals including BFI Flare, Palm Springs and Raindance. It was nominated for a Gaudí and won awards at the D’A Film Festival and the VOC Awards from Òmnium Cultural. Un Altre Home (Another Man, 2025), his new feature film, will hit theatres this autumn with Filmax. Fervor (Fervour, Penguin Random House, 2024) is his first novel.
Project
During his time at Faberllull, he will write the script for the feature film Tardor (Autumn).
