FRANCESCA CORSO
From Tuesday, 30 September 2025 to Friday, 10 October 2025

Bio
Francesca Corso illustrates stories for adults and children. She has been drawing and painting since she was a child. She loves to observe the sky, her favourite colour is blue and she has fun mixing dreams with reality.
She was born in Verona and now lives in Mallorca.
Her studies were entirely artistic: she graduated in Painting and Pictorial Decoration from Verona Art Institute, and continued her illustration studies at the School of Comics in Padua. Later, she obtained a first-level master's degree in Editorial Illustration from Ars in Fabula, where she honed her skills as an illustrator and launched her professional career. In 2019, she received the Microeditoria di Qualità award for her illustrated book Il Signor Erik (Mr Erik). In 2021, she was selected for the exhibition "Italian Excellence. The New Generation of Italian Illustrators for Children", organised by Bologna Children's Book Fair, as one of the 20 most promising young illustrators in the Italian children's illustration scene. Her illustrations for the book Il giardino di Rita (Rita's Garden) were selected for the exhibition of the BABAKAMO Illustration Festival in Valencia in 2023 and shortlisted for the Illustrators Exhibition of Bologna Children's Book Fair in 2025.
Her books are published in Italy, Australia and Denmark, and will soon be available in Spain and Canada.
Project
At Faberllull, Francesca Corso will work together with Telos Publishing on A casa meva (At my house), an intimate and poetic text written by Clara Haddad about the home. The book defines the home as a safe, loving, welcoming place. It will provide an opportunity to explore this topic in depth through unique illustrations bursting with colour and freedom, using traditional techniques as a means of artistic expression. The aim is to convey a positive message of love, exchange and unity.
