Bio
Mireia Ibáñez Cid (1994, Santa Bàrbara) is a Catalan teacher for adults, proofreader and translator. She has worked as a proofreader for the newspapers El Periódico and La Vanguardia and translated books for publishers such as Penguin Random House and Fragmenta. She is also currently a professor of literature at Pompeu Fabra University.
In 2024 she won the Joan Duch poetry prize for her work Esta negra mala herba (This Black Weed), published by Fonoll publishing house. She has collaborated with cultural festivals and artistic centres such as Lo Pati and Rihihiu and is co-organiser of the itinerant poetry open mic event in Terres de l'Ebre, Polipoesia.
