DANIELA DUARTE
From Monday, 26 May 2025 to Friday, 30 May 2025

Bio
Daniela Duarte is an artist and textile designer with an innovative approach that questions the limits between tradition and experimentation. A doctoral candidate in contemporary aesthetics at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, her research digs down on how collective textile art can function as a political and social manifestation. Integrating techniques such as embroidery and tapestry with experimental procedures, her artistic practice promotes a constant conversation between past and present.
As an active member of Tornen les Esquelles, Daniela will coordinate the collective process of embroidering the felt tapestry at Faberllull Olot, inviting resident and guest artists to contribute their unique vision in a shared experience of creation.
Project
Daniela Duarte will organise a participatory embroidery workshop at Faberllull Olot, aimed at resident and guest artists. The activity aims to merge traditional techniques with contemporary approaches, turning the process of creating the felt tapestry into a collective experience.
During the workshop, creative conversations and joint research will be promoted, allowing each participant to contribute their personal insights. The objective is to articulate a collaborative network that enriches the final piece with diverse narratives and experiences, strengthening the link between textile art and local livestock culture and opening paths to new forms of shared creation.
