HELENA LAGUNA BASTANTE
From Monday, 26 May 2025 to Friday, 30 May 2025
Bio
Helena Laguna Bastante is an interdisciplinary artist and curator from Terrassa (Barcelona province). She has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, a postgraduate degree in Curation from EINA (Barcelona) and is currently completing a master's in Research and Artistic Production from the University of Barcelona.
Her projects are mainly posited on a strong interest in writing, its limits and the potential of body and gesture as relationship spaces. At the heart of her research is thought about movement, posture and corporeality as areas to embody and expand other ways of communicating and establishing relationships with human and non-human bodies. This approach invites her to work through different media, mixing elements of sculpture, textiles, performance, installation and writing during her research.
Project
At Faberllull she aims to continue her musings on textile practices as relationship spaces between bodies of different temporalities. To tell stories about how, in the repetition of gestures, one can come into contact with all the hands of previous generations that made them; to imagine textile practice as a technique that allows us to be between temporalities through shared movements and gestures.
