Project

El tercer vértice (The Third Vertex) – Theatrical text

According to a recent study by Save the Children, more than 25% of children in Spain have suffered some type of abuse in childhood; however, only around 10% of cases are reported.

This text aims to explore the normalisation and invisibility of violence against children. It will also drill down on the emotional and psychological consequences this violence leaves on victims, as well as the difficulty in breaking a cycle of abuse perpetuated from one generation to the next. Through an exhaustive documentary research process in which she will collect testimonies from survivors of violence, health and educational professionals and critical observation of the system, Rubio Galletero will construct a stage fable to discuss violence and childhood.
