Bio
He has been a professor of sociolinguistics and the director of the CUSC University Center for Research in Sociolinguistics and Communication at the University of Barcelona. A former president of the Catalan Sociolinguistic Group (today the Catalan Society of Sociolinguistics) he is now the editor of the journal Treballs de Sociolingüística Catalana (Works of Catalan Sociolinguistics). He has been the lead investigator of the AMRELSE project (High Minorisation in Regions of Southeast Europe), after spearheading others in previous years.
