Bio

Pau Masaló is a director and playwright. He teaches at Institut del Teatre. He is a graphic designer, art director and founder of Editorial Superflua.

He has a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University and in directing and playwriting from the Institut del Teatre. He was co-founder and art director for the theatre company Ignífuga (2013-2017) and is currently working on solo projects under the umbrellas of the Contenidos Superfluos performing arts creation platform.

Project

While at Faberllull Olot, Pau Masaló will work on the project that won him the Hivernem 2025 grant. Titled Una ombra, la propera guerra, it aims to look at the ethical, aesthetic and political implications of war re-enactments, as well as their impact on public space and our collective imagination of war.
