Bio

PhD in Educational Sciences with a thesis on theatre and creativity. Degree in Dramatic Arts, Master in Performing Arts and Teacher of the Ministry of Education of Spain. Professor at the University of Oviedo, University of Valencia and University Finis Terrae. International researcher in universities in Canada, England, Greece and Argentina; and collaborations with research projects in Mexico, Chile and Wales. Author of publications in scientific journals of maximum impact worldwide. Co-editor-in-chief of the APES Journal (Performing Arts, Education and Society). President of the organizing committee of the I International Congress of Theatre and Drama in Education (Oviedo, 2018). Author and theater director, creator of the Spanish company Teatro Demente. Writer of theatrical scripts performed in different parts of the world. Creator of the Emilio Méndez Theater Academy, located in Asturias (Spain). Author of the book “Teatro en educación sin memorizar textos”, together with Dr. Tomás Motos Teruel.

Project

“Let my cry be heard loud”. Research project through theater document on suicidal behavior in young people (18-30 years old). Eight anonymous interviews have been used as a starting point to create a theatrical performance based on the real testimonies of the people interviewed. During the stay at Faberllull, the theatrical script will be written from these eight testimonies already collected and analyzed for several months, and will be interpreted literally by professional actors and actresses, who will wear headphones on stage at the same time they interpret, following the Headphone Verbatim technique.
