Bio
Jowita Niewulis-Grablunas is an assistant professor in the Department of Unique Philologies at the Institute of Applied Linguistics, Faculty of Modern Languages, University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. She specializes in linguistic diversity among the Lithuanian national minority, specifically the Dzukians, in Poland. Her research emphasizes themes such as multilingualism, the influence of other languages on Dzukian speech, linguistic prestige, and the linguistic landscape. Jowita has authored several articles on these subjects and has published two books that explore the phonological system of the inhabitants of the Puńsk area. As a member of the Dzukian community, she actively collects linguistic materials from her peers and promotes the Dzukian language at various meetings and conferences, both nationally and internationally. In addition to her research, she teaches the Lithuanian language at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and has a keen interest in modern technologies and teaching methodologies.
